: Work has found Yammer
Yammer.com is like twitter, but for work. You only see messages from people who share the same "work" email domain. Except that it isn't inside the firewall, so you still need to watch what you say. Pretty nifty. 2nd April 2007
: Puzzle Quest
OK, it is a very unique game that I just recently got for my DS that it eating up my time. I am seeing a grid of coloured balls, skulls, purple stars, and coins behind my eyes whenever I blink. Picture an RPG complete with equipment, companions, spells, leveling, weapons, etc where the combat is essentially competitive bejewelled. : future project: piecepack2diag
I would like to create at some point a javascript library that would allow people creating piecepack rules to easily add diagrams to their html rules. This would be along the lines of the board2diag library. Current Mood: grumpy

OK, so I am supposed to be editing and flowing our co-op's DAM newsletter. No that is not a typo, I live at Beaver Creek Coop and the name of our newsletter is the DAM (although right now I certainly feel like it is the damn newsletter.) See February is a short month, and I have been very busy learning lines and attending rehearsals for R&G, not to mention all of the "normal" stuff that keeps one busy... so the damn DAM got put off. On Thursday, March 1, I release a microDAM to let the members know that the DAM was going to be late, and to fill them in on what they needed to know for the weekend. Now I have to actually get March's issue put together and out the door. Arrg. It is not a small task, as in the past we have had issues that span 28 pages! Hence my posting here now. I am having a very hard time getting going on this thing. Current Mood: grumpy

: and so the mystery as to why the last few nights have been hell has been revealed
Dexter has been running a low grade fever for the past few days, which we had written off as teething. Well he has been calling out in the middle of the night and so I arouse and head to his room to find he has rolled over and is busy snoring. Do that a handful of times in a night, a few nights in a row, and you end up feeling pretty cruddy. His appetite has also diminished, and suckiness increased. Today he hit 39.5 C (103.1 F) and so we called the nurse, and she suggested the doctor see him and so Dexter had his appointment at 4:00. We dislike going to the doctor unless we are damn sure not only that something is wrong, but that there is something the doctor can do about it. Nothing worse than taking a cranky kid (or husband) to the doctor's office, to sit for an hour, to be told, go home and rest, nothing we can do. From the wif's explanation, it looked like it was going that way as Dex didn't have any additional symptoms. When the doctor finally got around to looking at his throat, the doctor was visibly surprised and said "Oh, he has tonsillitis!" As weird as this sounds, we are both happy to know that he has tonsillitis, as that means we can treat it! A couple of days, he should be feeling back to normal. Yea! Current Mood: relieved
